Genetico was established to address the growing need for affordable, sustainable, and practical agribusiness solutions in Zimbabwe. We recognized that oyster mushroom farming represented a significant and largely untapped opportunity for smallholder farmers, youth entrepreneurs, and community organizations across the country — an opportunity defined by low startup costs, short production cycles, growing market demand, and the ability to produce using locally available agricultural waste materials.

We set out to build a mushroom farming enterprise that does more than just produce and sell mushrooms. We built Genetico to be a complete agribusiness partner — one that supplies quality products, provides practical hands-on training, offers ongoing technical support, and genuinely invests in the success of every farmer and entrepreneur we work with. From our base in Harare, we have been steadily growing our production capacity, expanding our training programmes, and building lasting relationships with customers, retailers, and farming communities across Zimbabwe.
